Student Interim Assessment Report

ATTAINMENT, PROGRESS AND EFFORT

Attainment & Progress

Teachers report on both attainment and effort once every term.

In Key Stage 3 attainment will reflect the National Curriculum level that the student is working at for the relevant area of study.

These levels are broken down further into sub-levels where:

  • ‘a’ is the highest point,
  • ‘b’ is in the middle, and
  • ‘c’ is the bottom of the level.

In Key Stages 4 & 5 attainment will reflect the specific course that a student is studying.  This will include grades for GCSE, BTEC, OCR National, AS and A2.  The type of qualification that a student is undertaking is identify on the interim report.

Your child’s attainment is tracked against an annual end of year teacher target – for an explanation of how we set these targets and guidance on judging progress please see the link ‘The  use of Targets – Information for Parents’
